The Mission of
This year, more than 200,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer; more than 40,000 of them will not survive. In the U.S. a woman will die from breast cancer, on average, every 13 minutes. Sooner or later breast cancer will affect someone you know.

As owners of Voyageur Canoe Outfitters we outfit canoe trips into Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. This is a peaceful, wilderness area that promotes tranquility and serenity which is difficult to find in a city setting. Women who are suffering from breast cancer or who are trying to prevent it can benefit from a wilderness trip. A canoe camping trip in the BWCA can provide you with exercise, cleanse the soul, and clear the mind.

We feel that when someone purchases a Pink Paddle not only will the exercise help the odds against cancer but also part of the proceeds of each paddle sale will be donated to breast cancer research. We started Pink Paddles because we want to help find a cure for this devastating disease that kills the women we love.

Help us celebrate breast cancer survivorship and honor those who have lost their lives to the disease by purchasing a Pink Paddle today.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.
